We're delighted to announce today, the launch of our inaugural, annual internship programme with the National College of Art and Design.
Open to students in their pre-final year studying at NCAD, this year-long paid position will provide real-life, practical experience for the successful student. The aim of the internship is to provide hands-on creative and digital experience in a working agency environment for students considering a career in the creative industries.
The successful student will have the opportunity to work on a plethora of leading global and national brands, with the full support of a multi-skilled, expert team of McCannBlue mentors – some of whom the applicants met at their onsite briefing session on March 23 rd.
Graham Stewart, Creative Director at McCannBlue explains some of the reasons why McCannBlue approached NCAD with the internship proposal:
“Through this programme, we're truly living out our ethos of 'Create Change' by committing to, investing in and developing tomorrow's creative leaders. We're really excited about the potential of this partnership with NCAD – not just because we're giving these talented students a start and a chance to learn what's expected of them in the day-to-day creative work environment, but because we expect to learn just as much from them."
Professor Alex Milton, Head of the School of Design at NCAD comments “We are delighted to be partnering with McCannBlue. They are a leading creative agency, and the internship will provide an invaluable experience for the successful student. The internship fits within our new Studio+ initiative which has been designed to enable NCAD students to gain practical work experience, study abroad and work on a diverse range of live commercial, social or community projects."
